Ruth Bader Ginsburg working from home after fracturing three ribs

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is working from home Tuesday as she recovers from suffering three fractured ribs in a fall last week.

Ginsburg, 85, “continues to improve and is working from home this morning,” said Kathy Arberg, spokeswoman for the Supreme Court.

The justices gathered at 10 a.m. for a public non-argument session. The court will next hear arguments in cases after Thanksgiving.

Ginsburg was discharged from the hospital Friday and has been working from home.

She fractured three ribs on her left side after falling in her office at the Supreme Court on Wednesday. Ginsburg initially returned home following the incident but went to George Washington University Hospital early Thursday morning after experiencing discomfort overnight.

Ginsburg missed Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s formal investiture on Thursday, which was attended by President Trump, first lady Melania Trump, former Justice Anthony Kennedy, and other top Republicans.

Nominated by former President Bill Clinton, Ginsburg celebrated her 25th anniversary on the high court in August.
