Manager of Fullerton Denny?s stabbed

The manager of a Denny?s restaurant in Fullerton was brutally stabbed outside the business in a morning robbery, Baltimore County police said.

Michaele Frederick was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma with serious stab wounds after he was robbed behind the restaurant on the 8000 block of Bel Air Road, said police spokesman Cpl. Michael Hill. Frederick, 51, was opening his car door to head to a nearby bank to deposit business funds at about 9:25 a.m. when a knife-wielding man approached him, Hill said.

Police are unsure about what the two said to each other, but the robber began stabbing the victim “all over his body,” Hill said. Frederick ran about 40 yards.

“The suspect chased him, pinned the victim against a truck and, again, repeatedly stabbed him,” Hill said.

Hill said Frederick, who lives in the unit-block of North Court in Cecil County?s North East, Md., was rushed into immediate surgery and is doing “OK.”

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a light-colored, older model Nissan Maxima, Hill said.

Police are working on a description of the assailant and are considering the possible involvement of an additional suspect, Hill said.
