Local firm boasts national clientele

TBC, an advertising agency and public relations firm, is rapidly becoming one of the largest firms in Baltimore.

With more than 100 employees and more clients than CEO Sandy Hillman can count, the 32-year-old company has worked with clients such as Yellow Book, the World Series of Poker and the Wall Street Journal. They most recently were named agency of record for Rita?s Water Ice.

“One of the reasons we can maintain our success is because we offer all of the disciplines that an organization needs,” Hillman said. “One of the things that distinguishes us [from other agencies] is that we are well-integrated, well-informed and able to assist clients intelligently, in terms of helping them figure out their communications road map.”

Hillman, who joined TBC in 1984 and started the PR division, says the agency is fortunate to have a broad client roster that extends well beyond Baltimore.

MinuteClinic, walk-in health centers, has been with TBC for about two years.

“I have been incredibly impressed with their ability to effectively launch Minute not just as a brand but as a new health care category,” MinuteClinic?s Vice President of Marketing Stacy Hintermeister said. “They can workon both a national and local level. TBC has helped us effectively bring our story to the masses.”

“It?s great to be able to have established a very successful national firm being based in Baltimore,” Hillman said. “We are happy to be growing and continuing to be an important part of the business for the clients of Baltimore.
