Former Congresswoman and Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney gave a murderous dictator a propaganda victory over the weekend:
The station is fiercely loyal to Moammar Gadhafi and her interview was spliced with what appeared to be rallies in support of the embattled Libyan leader.
“I think that it’s very important that people understand what is happening here. And it’s important that people all over the world see the truth. And that is why I am here … to understand the truth,” former Rep. Cynthia McKinney said during a live interview.
Considering that the President of the United States has declared that Qaddafi’s regime must end, one’s tempted to call this traitorous. There are plenty of ways to oppose the conflict without making yourself a propaganda tool. Fortunately, McKinney’s reflexive anti-Americanism is largely born of ignorance and is self-discrediting.
