President Trump tore into the Chair of the Federal Reserve Jay Powell saying he potentially is a “bigger enemy” to the United States than the president of China.
“As usual, the Fed did NOTHING! It is incredible that they can ‘speak’ without knowing or asking what I am doing, which will be announced shortly. We have a very strong dollar and a very weak Fed. I will work ‘brilliantly’ with both, and the U.S. will do great,” Trump said Friday on Twitter. “My only question is, who is our bigger enemy, Jay Powell or Chairman Xi?”

Trump, 73, has been trying to get Powell to cut interest rates. Earlier this week, he said the chairman had a “horrendous lack of vision” in his handling of the economy.
The president picked Powell in 2018 to replace Janet Yellen to head the Federal Reserve.
