Sean Spicer scolds reporters for healthcare questions: ‘You’re so negative’

White House press secretary Sean Spicer scolded several reporters on Friday who kept asking whether President Trump will find enough votes to get his healthcare bill through the House, and what he would do next if it fails, as expected.

“So negative,” Spicer said when asked how Trump might react “if [the American Health Care Act] fails” to pass the lower chamber. A floor vote on the legislation is set to take place at around 4 p.m. on Friday, after it was delayed by House Speaker Paul Ryan a day earlier.

“You guys are so negative,” he told another reporter minutes later, adding that the White House has no intention of postponing the vote a second time.

The administration told House Republicans late Thursday evening that Trump is done negotiating and wants a floor vote on the AHCA before lawmakers depart for the weekend.

Ryan, who met with Trump at the White House on Friday afternoon, can afford to lose no more more than 21 Republican votes. Nearly 40 GOP members have expressed concern about the legislation as it is written, many of whom have said they will oppose the bill.
