Brad Parscale has been hospitalized after police said his wife called 911 Sunday afternoon to report that the former Trump campaign manager was threatening to harm himself at their home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Fort Lauderdale police arrived at the house after receiving a 911 call from Parscale’s wife, Candice, who said her husband had access to multiple guns, according to the Sun Sentinel.
Parscale, 44, did not threaten officers, was detained, and was transported to Broward Health Medical Center, according to police, who also determined no one else was in the home.
Parscale was digital media director for Trump’s 2016 campaign and was named campaign manager of the reelection campaign in February 2018. He was replaced as campaign manager by Bill Stepien, another member of the team, in July, but stayed on as an adviser.
“Brad Parscale is a member of our family and we all love him. We are ready to support him and his family in any way possible,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said in a statement sent to WPLG Local 10.
