Foreclosure filings in Maryland dropped 20 percent in September from a year ago, and 30 percent from August, according to data released Thursday by online foreclosure database RealtyTrac.
A total of 2,247 filings, including default notices, auction sale notices and bank repossessions, were reported last month, one for every 1,024 Maryland households.
