“Purple Rain” singer Prince has died, his publicist confirmed to the Associated Press.
According to reports, he was found early Thursday morning at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota. He was 57.
Multiple sources connected to the artist confirm that the body was indeed Prince’s, whose real name is Prince Rogers Nelson.
The singer was hospitalized on April 15 with what was called a “medical emergency,” but he performed the next day.
Condolences have been rushing in from his fans, including Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.
