President Trump said Thursday that he still wants to sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller as he investigates alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
“Yes. I would like to,” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked if he would meet with Mueller, whose team is reportedly seeking to interview the president.
Trump said in late January that he was “looking forward” to his conversation with Mueller, which he said at the time that his legal team expected to schedule within two weeks.
While that deadline has long passed, Trump’s lawyers have given little indication of if or when an interview will take place.
