Scoop: Jon and Kate under child-labor probe

As if Jon and Kate Gosselin don’t have enough stress in their lives already, the couple is now under investigation for possibly violating child labor laws.

The Pennsylvania-based stars of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” were reportedly the target of a complaint about the treatment of their eight children.

“We’re not saying that there was or was not a violation, just that we’re conducting an investigation,” a spokesperson for the state’s labor department told Usmagazine.com.

In a statement, TLC, the network that produces the much-talked-about reality show, said it “fully complies with all applicable laws and regulations” and works with the Department of Labor to maintain standards.

Considering his reluctance to continue with the show, we can’t help but wonder if Jon anonymously called in the complaint himself.

Octo-Show

Sick of all the Jon and Kate drama? Well, you’re in luck: You’ll soon have a chance to watch another impossibly large family of multiples in action. Nadya Suleman, the infamous mother of infant octuplets — and six other kids — has signed a deal with a production company to make a reality show about her life.

“I’m really excited about moving forward with this,” Nadya told People magazine.

And before you can say “exploitation,” the Octo-mom’s lawyer is quick to note that the series will be formed on certain occasions, not around the clock, explaining that “she doesn’t want the constant filming because she feels that would be taking advantage of her kids. She’s trying to find the middle ground and feels this approach will work best.”

“[Nadya and the producers] are hoping to have an arrangement whereby several events in the children’s lives would be filmed in a documentary series,” he informed Us magazine.

To People, the lawyer adds of the Gosselins, “She’s been watching them a bit lately and thinks it’s boring.” Ooooh — the baby battle is on!

Bad Manners?

The actors of “Entourage” are even naughtier than their onscreen alter egos, according to a Russian actress who appeared in the show’s first season.

“After doing two episodes, I was asked to do the main title shot in a limo with the boys driving down Sunset Strip,” Irina Voronina recalled to Steppin’ Out magazine. “I wasn’t looking for anything else. But the boys were very direct about what they wanted to do later. It wasn’t like I was just being hit on. They were hitting on me in a very diminishing way.

“I made it clear there would be no after-party,” the starlet added. “So the boys complained to the director, and we were basically told that we weren’t nice to the actors and that we were fired.”

A New York Daily News source, however, maintains that the women were offered a ride but refused to wait for one. A rep for the show told the paper, “This is an unfounded and unsubstantiated allegation from a woman who worked on the show five years ago, and we are not going to dignify it beyond that.” All righty, then.
