The U.S. House race in Maryland’s fifth district will be mighty lonely.

Over the course of the summer, several Republican candidates have pulled out of the race, leaving little-known Green Party candidate Steve Warner the lone competitor against incumbent and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer.
