Former President George H.W. Bush was released from the hospital on Monday after being treated for low blood pressure, according to his family spokesperson.
“President @GeorgeHWBush was discharged from @SMHCHealth today after being treated for low blood pressure. The president is deeply appreciative both for the terrific care and the many good wishes he has received,” Jim McGrath wrote in a tweet Monday.

The former president was admitted to a hospital near his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine, last week after experiencing low blood pressure and fatigue.
Bush, 93, has been hospitalized multiple times over the past few months for health issues following death of his wife, Barbara.
The day after the mid-April funeral, Bush was taken to the hospital and treated for a blood infection.
