WATCH: Megyn Kelly and Kristi Noem blast Democrats’ ‘full meltdown’ on abortion

Media personality Megyn Kelly and Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) said the Left is in “full meltdown” following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, returning the fight over abortion rights to the states.

“You would think if you’re going to work yourself up into a real lather, like an anger over this issue, it would be on the pro-life side — it would be on behalf of the babies,” Kelly said during her SiriusXM The Megyn Kelly Show Tuesday, acknowledging the hardship some mothers might endure as the result of a pregnancy. “The Left is so sure they are on the side of morality on this without paying one minute’s notice to the fact that no matter where you stand on this, abortion does stop, at best for the other side, a potential life — at best, right? And the reality is, it stops life, life in process.”

Kelly also blasted Democrats’ calls to eliminate the filibuster in the Senate and impeach Supreme Court justices.

Noem told Kelly that the Democrats’ reaction reveals a problem with the lack of value for life in society today, from embracing equality only when it is convenient to going soft on crime.

“That’s what I’m concerned about is the lack of value for a life. It’s evident when you see the violence on our streets,” Noem said. “But when you wrap your arms around killing a baby and embrace it. And like the governor of New York did here by declaring that her state was going to be known as the place to come to get an abortion. Boy, that’s a legacy I never want South Dakota to ever have.”

The South Dakota governor noted that the hypocrisy of Democrats seeking to protect life during the COVID-19 pandemic has caused several people to become more aware and engaged in local government.

Noem again squashed rumors of aspirations to be part of a 2024 Republican presidential ticket, saying her eyes are set on being reelected in her state as governor.

“It’s just not something that is in my plans,” Noem said. “And I’m always a little leery, Megyn, of people who dream of being president of the United States. I think these people who grow up and plan it for years and years probably should never be president of the United States. They more than likely want to do it for the wrong reasons.”

“I think it’s probably time in this country we have a reluctant president again,” Noem continued. “Because those are the ones that truly take the job seriously, recognize the challenges of it.”

Despite not considering herself for the job, Noem added that Republicans need to “grow up” and put a strategy together for 2024.
