Only 43 percent want to see the House of Representatives remain controlled by Republicans, compared to 53 percent who want Democrats to take control of at least 218 of the 435 seats.
But it was not all bad news for the Trump administration. The poll said 55 percent don’t want to see Trump impeached.
One of the biggest indicators of how Election Day may play out is in the responses voters gave for showing up to the polls this year.
Thirty-nine percent said they voted to show that they do not like Trump, compared to 26 percent who said they turned out to support the president. One-third of people said their decision to vote had nothing to do with the president.
The poll did not list a margin of error or other methodology.
