Trump, Clinton, McMullin now in Utah dead heat

Donald Trump now holds a slim lead over both former Hillary Clinton and independent Evan McMullin in Utah, putting another state in the toss-up category 22 days until election day.

According to a new Rasmussen Reports poll released Monday, Trump leads with 30 percent support as Clinton sits only 2 points behind with 28 percent. However, McMullin is sandwiched between the two major party nominees, pulling 29 percent support in the deep red state.

Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson also receives 5 percent support, while Green Party nominee Jill Stein takes 1 percent.

This is the latest in a string of tightening polls in the state as McMullin continues his move upward. This is now the fourth poll in the past week that shows the independent candidate taking 20 percent or more in Utah, where Trump has had issues throughout his campaign, dating back to the primary season when he finished last.

According to the latest RealClearPolitics average, Trump still holds the advantage in Utah with just over three weeks until election day, holding a 9.4-point lead over Clinton’s 24.6 percent. McMullin pulls 16.6 percent support in the average of polls.
