SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Gov. Jerry Brown’s re-election campaign began airing TV spots Wednesday promoting a pair of initiatives on the November ballot that would authorize $7.5 billion in water projects and strengthen California’s rainy day fund for lean economic times.
Two of the three 30-second ads feature the Democratic governor, giving him a boost in his nascent re-election campaign without directly asking Californians to vote for him.
