Husband gets 25 years for asking inmate to kill wife

A Baltimore County man who asked a prisoner to kill his wife is going to prison, himself.

Circuit Judge Lawrence Daniels sentenced Charles Waller, 43, of Gwynn Oak, to 25 years in prison after he was convicted in July of soliciting an inmate to kill Waller?s wife of 18 years.

On May 27, 2006, Waller violated a restraining order filed by his estranged wife, Melissa Waller, when he rammed her with a car, police said.

Once arrested on charges of first-degree assault, Charles Waller ? who has two children with his estranged wife ? tried to solicit her murder, police said.

Waller asked inmate Terron Moore “to kill Ms. Waller for him since she is the only witness against him,” according to a police report.

But Moore turned over to police a note Charles Waller gave him with information about his wife, prosecutors said.
