‘I love Diamond & Silk’: Trump backs duo after Fox dumps them

President Trump voiced support for Diamond & Silk after Fox News cut ties with the pair.

Lynnette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson, who have appeared several times at the Conservative Political Action Conference and are vocal supporters of the president, were barred from appearing on the Fox network after the duo published a string of tweets claiming the coronavirus death toll was being misreported to hurt Trump’s chance at reelection.

The group said, “You can’t hate what you ain’t never loved!” in a tweet posted on Tuesday morning.

“I love Diamond & Silk, and so do millions of people!” Trump tweeted in response.

Diamond & Silk were regular contributors to Fox Nation and appeared on the Fox News channel “like clockwork” until the duo’s outspoken claims about the coronavirus netted them a ban from appearances in the future, according to the Daily Beast report that broke the story. The duo was last featured on the network in early March.

The pair were temporarily locked out of their Twitter account earlier this month after they tweeted to their 1.4 million followers information that the platform said violated its ban on COVID-19 misinformation.

“The only way we can become immune to the environment; we must be out in the environment. Quarantining people inside of their houses for extended periods will make people sick!” the pair had tweeted.

Diamond & Silk have often claimed that social media are censoring conservative views.
