E-commerce company announces move to Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) — An e-commerce company that specializes in natural products plans to move its headquarters to Chicago this month.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Abe’s Market company officials announced the move Friday. The Minneapolis-based company plans to move to a 3,400-square-foot facility in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.

Emanuel’s office says the company will bring 15 to 20 jobs to Chicago during the next few months.

Abe’s Market co-founder and CEO Richard Demb says Chicago will provide the company with the tech talent and support it needs to be successful. The company sells products online from various makers such as foods without artificial ingredients and plant-based bath products.
