CNN morning news anchor Alisyn Camerota asked Parkland shooting survivor and self proclaimed leader of the #NeverAgain movement David Hogg Friday what “dumbass colleges” would reject his application.
“David, I am stunned that four colleges reject you,” Camerota said to Hogg. “What kind of dumbass colleges don’t want you? I mean you’ve taken the country by storm. How do you explain this? Did they reject you before the Parkland massacre, or how do you explain this?”
Hogg said the four colleges rejected him about two weeks ago, after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
“The way I explain it is that we have a heavily impacted university system in America, and I think there’s a lot of really good candidates that don’t get into college. I think it goes to show that regardless of whether or not you get into college, you can still change the world,” Hogg said.

Camerota’s question comes after Fox News host Laura Ingraham criticized Hogg for whining about not getting into four colleges on Twitter.
Ingraham said despite Hogg’s good academic standings, the acceptance rate at University of California Los Angeles is competitive, and it’s normal to get rejected even with good grades.
After her comments Hogg called for her sponsors to pull ad spots from her evening talk show on Fox, and they did.
Ingraham has since apologized on Twitter for her comments, which Hogg refuses to accept.
