Hallmark‘s queen of Christmas is opting to help people find the holiday’s true meaning.
Former Full House star and Hallmark Channel staple Candace Cameron Bure has signed a deal with GAC Media to produce “faith-filled” content, according to a statement from the media network.
“Candace is adored by generations of fans as one of family entertainment’s most cherished and relatable stars,” said Bill Abbott, the president and CEO of GAC Media and a former Hallmark executive.
Abbott praised Bure for building the genre, adding, “I am truly honored that she has chosen to be a part of and help curate her special brand of family entertainment here at Great American Channels.”

She will develop, produce, and star in programs on both GAC Family and GAC Living and have a “prominent executive role at the company to oversee and curate programming for the networks as a whole.”
“I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch,” Bure said of the deal.
“I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family. Great, quality entertainment with a positive message is what my partnership with GAC is all about!”
Through Bure’s Candy Rock Entertainment, she will also “develop and produce original content for GAC’s channels.” She will further craft “year-round seasonal celebration content” to debut on the channels.
According to the statement, Bure will have an important role in the company’s annual Great American Christmas franchise.
Several other former Hallmark favorites have waded into GAC Media projects, including: Trevor Donovan, Nick Bateman, Rukiya Bernard, Sara Canning, Dillon Casey, Torrance Coombs, Brendan Fehr, Jennie Garth, Maggie Lawson, Jen Lilley, Sarah Lind, Daniel Lissing, Jessica Lowndes, Matthew MacCaull, Chad Michael Murray, Sam Page, Merritt Patterson, Becca Tobin, Jill Wagner and Dewshane Williams.
Abbott initially left Hallmark’s parent company in January 2020 when the channel folded to criticism from the Left and apologized for pulling an advertisement featuring a same-sex marriage and kiss. He then acquired GAC Media in June 2021, according to a report.
As more people jump ship, Hallmark may need to make a decision about its direction as a supposed family channel.
