SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — The Washington Examiner spoke with voters in Scottsdale, Arizona, about the issues leading them to the ballot box this midterm election cycle. Another area weighing heavily on voters was abortion. We spoke with people who were pro-abortion rights and anti-abortion, with some saying protecting women’s health is extremely important in this election. One man said the question of abortion policy starts with the breakdown of the family unit and people not willing to take responsibility for their actions. Another woman said she would never vote for someone who would take away her right to choose.
KARI LAKE SHAMES MEDIA FOR ASKING ABOUT KATIE HOBBS HQ BREAK-IN
When it came to the candidates, the people we spoke with matched with polling. Overwhelmingly, more people said they were voting for Republican Kari Lake for governor over Democrat Katie Hobbs. One woman said she was impressed with Lake’s mission to find truth and is all about her quitting her job to run for the people. However, others were split on whether incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) or Republican Blake Masters would take the Senate seat. One man felt Masters is too extreme on abortion and said that even though he is for Lake, he will be voting for Kelly. Complaints about Kelly from voters along the trail felt the Democratic senator has not done enough to fix the border.
