Roger Stone: Mueller intent on ‘undoing the results of the last election and removing this president’

Republican consultant Roger Stone, a longtime adviser to President Trump, said that special counsel Robert Mueller is determined to topple President Trump.

“His target is undoing the results of the last election and removing this president,” he told the Washington Examiner. When asked if he thinks Trump would be forced out of the White House, Stone replied, “Well, certainly not on the basis of Russian collusion because I believe there is none.”

In an extended and profane tirade, Stone slammed former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen as the “single dumbest f–k” he’d ever met and “dumb as a box of rocks.”

Cohen has given more than 70 hours of testimony as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia collusion investigation. “Don’t you think he’s being used by his new attorney and by the Clintonistas as a bludgeon to attack Donald Trump? I mean, first of all, let me say on the record, he’s the single dumbest f–k I’ve ever met in my entire life. I mean, he’s as dumb as a box of rocks,” Stone told the Washington Examiner after his speech at the American Priority Conference on Thursday.

“I still don’t think he has any evidence of wrongdoing by the president. He wasn’t involved in the campaign. He wasn’t involved in the White House. I mean, I think at this point he’s composing,” he added. Stone argued that Cohen is “flipping” on Trump because of his rising personal legal fees.

“He’s flipping because he’s angry that the Trump family has not helped him with his enormous legal expenses, but he hired a law firm and he paid them $5 million to read all of his emails and review what they meant,” Stone told the Washington Examiner. “I mean, I have 1 million emails too, but I’m not paying anybody $5 million to read them.”

In January of next year, Sam Nunberg, a former political aide for Trump, is reportedly scheduled to meet with the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Investigators on Mueller’s team have already interviewed Nunberg.

In the past, Nunberg has referred to Stone as a “mentor.” The Senate Intelligence Committee is expected to ask questions about Nunberg’s relationship with Stone during the upcoming meeting. Stone criticized Nunberg ahead of the testimony.

“Nunberg has a very hard time distinguishing between this [pointing to his behind] and this [pointing to his elbow]. He knows nothing. He enjoys his notoriety but he knows nothing,” Stone said on Thursday. When asked if he has concerns about what Nunberg might tell the committee, he replied.

Stone was asked if he has concerns about what Nunberg might tell the committee.

“It’s going to be an entire waste of their time. He knows nothing, nothing. There is no communications with WikiLeaks. I received no documents form WikiLeaks. Sam Nunberg cannot honestly say otherwise because he knows better. I think he knows better,” he replied.

Stone continued, “He’s [Steve] Bannon’s boy — maybe they should ask him about Cambridge Analytica and what those guys were doing.” Nunberg declined to comment on Stone’s statements.

Mueller’s team is reportedly examining late night calls Trump made to Stone during the 2016 election campaign. Stone was asked if there was anything in those calls that could raise red flags for investigators.

“None whatsoever. First of all, on those occasions where the president calls you, he does most of the talking, you do most of the listening,” he said. “It has always been my policy for 3 years now not to discuss the content of those phone calls other than I can say definitively we never discussed WikiLeaks or the WikiLeaks disclosures.”

The Washington Examiner asked Stone if he has given any advice to Trump recently on any issues. “I have not. I have not spoken to the president in some time. He’s under federal investigation, as you know. It’s a joke. His lawyers and mine, I’m sure, my lawyers have urged me not to speak to him,” Stone said. “I’m certain his lawyers have urged him to say the same thing. I think his sentiments were made in that tweet, however. I’m very proud of it.”

On December 3, Trump posted a tweet about Stone. “’I will never testify against Trump.’ This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about ‘President Trump.’ Nice to know that some people still have ‘guts!’” the tweet read.

When asked if he still thinks he could indicted as a result of the Russia probe, Stone said, “It’s still entirely possible that I could be framed, but I have broken no law in connection with the 2016 election or anything else.”
