In a new documentary, Britney Spears gets intensely personal about life since her infamous meltdown — saying the “restraints” placed on her make it like living in prison.
“I have really good days, and then I have bad days,” the fallen pop icon confesses in the upcoming MTV special “Britney: For the Record.” “Even when you go to jail, you know there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never-ending. It’s just like ‘Groundhog Day.’” (Britney’s father, Jamie, was recently appointed her permanent conservator, meaning he legally controls her life for the indefinite future.)
Britney says she made the documentary “to set the record straight.” She says that since her breakdown earlier this year, “I think I’ve learned my lesson now, and enough is enough.” Let’s hope so.
Paris: Ex appeal?
We were surprised when Benji Madden refuted rumors that he had cheated on girlfriend Paris Hilton — that it wasn’t the other way around. Now it seems our skepticism about the serial-dating celebutante’s fidelity may have been warranted.
Despite her declarations of undying love for the Good Charlotte rocker, Paris was caught getting up close and personal with her ex-boyfriend, fellow heirhead Stavros Niarchos. Multiple reports claim the former “Simple Life” star and the Greek shipping scion reconnected at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, arriving at the after party looking very much like a couple.
“They slipped in secretly together holding hands very, very early in the morning,” an attendee who witnessed them told OK! magazine.
“They looked like they were back to their old ways and you never would have thought she had a boyfriend,” observed the onlooker, adding the kicker: “They left together and went back to their hotel.”
Biggest shock about this story? That Paris and Benji lasted this long.
Johnnifer: ‘Glowing’
We were wary when Jennifer Aniston got back together with notorious player John Mayer. But the second time around, the romance seems to be going swimmingly. The couple was “positively glowing” during dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel restaurant Monday night, a gawker told People magazine, adding, “You could see her classic ‘Aniston smile’ on her face.”
The lovebirds’ quality time was interrupted by a chat with another high-profile pair: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. “There was a lot of excited talk between the two girls,” the onlooker notes.
It’s still hard to picture these two ending up together long-term. But hey, everyone deserves to be happy, so prove us wrong, Johnnifer.
