HealthExtras Inc., a Rockville-based pharmacy benefit management company, announced a 69 percent increase in net income for the first quarter of 2007, compared with the same time a year ago.
Net income spiked to $9.7 million this quarter, compared with $5.8 million in 2006?s opening quarter. Revenues also jumped, rising 70 percent for the quarter to $406.4 million.
The number of processed prescriptions nearly doubled during the quarter to almost 10 million, the company said.
