Megyn Kelly slammed Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris for saying she was “proud” of Jacob Blake, a black man who was shot seven times during an arrest for violating a restraining order in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Aug. 23.
The former Fox News host asked if Harris was willing to speak out for Blake’s alleged victim, who filed a criminal complaint accusing Blake of breaking into her house and sexually assaulting her on May 3. Blake, 29, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
“PROUD of him?” Kelly asked on Twitter. “He’s accused of breaking into a sleeping woman’s house, sexually assaulting her, humiliating her & later returning to harass her. Then the cops she called for help say he resisted arrest, assaulted them & went for his knife. How about a word for his victim, Senator?”

Kelly was responding to a statement published by Blake’s lawyer, Ben Crump, that detailed Harris’s “inspirational and uplifting one-hour visit” with Blake and his family.
“In a moving moment, Jacob [Blake] Jr. told Sen. Harris that he was proud of her, and the senator told Jacob that she was also proud of him and how he is working through his pain,” read the statement.
The shooting of Blake was caught on camera and sparked several nights of demonstrations that turned violent. Blake’s alleged criminal past has been seized on by conservatives, who believe Harris’s comments and actions regarding Blake are hypocritical only a few years after the #MeToo movement swept across the nation.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden met with Blake’s family during a visit to Kenosha last week.
