Trump drops another case against New York AG Letitia James

Former President Donald Trump has dropped another lawsuit filed against New York Attorney General Letitia James. The news comes days after he dropped a different case against her.

The lawsuit, which challenged James’s investigation into the Trump Organization, was dropped from the 2nd U.S. Court of Appeals.

“The undersigned counsel for the parties stipulate that the above-captioned appeal is withdrawn with prejudice, without costs or attorney’s fees to any party,” the court filing Tuesday said.

James announced a $250 million civil lawsuit against Trump, members of his family, and the Trump Organization in September 2022. The lawsuit alleges fraud by members of the Trump family and the organization at large.

The other legal challenge Trump had filed against James regarding the lawsuit was dropped by the former president Friday.

In the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Trump had claimed James violated his First and 14th Amendment rights by targeting him with the lawsuit.
