A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in the parking lot of the King Street Metro station.
A van struck the woman at about 6 p.m. Friday, Alexandria police said.
The woman’s name has not been released because her family is still being notified. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The crash is under investigation, police said.
