YouTube show The Shop, produced by Lebron James, announced Tuesday it will not air its interview with Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West.
SpringHill Company CEO Maverick Carter, who is also a producer of the show, claimed Ye had booked an interview weeks in advance and appeared Monday for the taping. The Shop is a part of the Uninterrupted YouTube channel, “featuring videos from the athlete’s perspective, original series, podcasts, and documentaries.”
LEAKED CLIPS SHOW YE’S UNAIRED, INFLAMMATORY REMARKS ABOUT JEWISH PEOPLE
“After talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments,” Carter said. “Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes. We have made the decision not to air this episode or any of Kanye’s remarks. While The Shop embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions, we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate.”

This comes after Ye’s two-part interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, which aired Friday evening. More unaired clips from the interview were released Tuesday.
“I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew,” Carter said. “Hate speech should never have an audience.”
James was not present for the taping, according to Carter.

Ye’s Twitter account was locked down after he posted a message promising to go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” on Sunday. He was similarly restricted from Instagram following a seemingly antisemitic post he shared Friday. He shared an alleged interaction with fellow rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in a screenshot. He captioned the photo, “Jesus is Jew.”
The Shop was aired on HBO’s network until February of this year. Now it is exclusively on YouTube, with over 602,000 subscribers and an average of 154,000 views per video posted to the Uninterrupted channel.
