Roger Stone, an informal adviser to Donald Trump’s campaign, rejected former CIA Director John Brennan’s assertion on Tuesday that Russia tried to get close to Trump’s aides.
“Hey John Brennan — name names! oh you have no names because your testimony is 100% BS,” Stone tweeted Tuesday.

Brennan told the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday he was worried about contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign that may have been evidence of collusion.
“I saw information and intelligence that was worthy of investigation by the bureau to determine whether or not such cooperation or collusion was taking place,” he said.
Several congressional committees, including the House Intelligence Committee, are investigating Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election and potential ties between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials.
Earlier this month, the Senate Intelligence Committee requested Stone, Paul Manafort and Carter Page turn over documents related to their dealings with Russia. Stone and Manafort complied and turned over at least some of the documents, it was reported Monday.
The Justice Department appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller to serve as special counsel in the investigation, which is taking place alongside congressional inquiries.
The House Intelligence Committee’s investigation could change course now that a special counsel has been appointed.
