Trump: Fox News and Chris Wallace ‘on a bad path’

President Trump warned that Fox News and anchor Chris Wallace “are on a bad path” following an interview with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The California Democrat gave her first interview to Fox News Sunday, which Wallace moderates, since 2017 over the weekend. She discussed the coronavirus, touching on topics such as her motivations to visit San Francisco’s Chinatown in February and protesters advocating against states’ strict stay-at-home orders.

Trump responded to the interview in a tweet calling Pelosi “dumb” and delivered a warning shot at Fox News.

“Nervous Nancy is an inherently ‘dumb’ person. She wasted all of her time on the Impeachment Hoax. She will be overthrown, either by inside or out, just like her last time as ‘Speaker’. Wallace & @FoxNews are on a bad path, watch!” Trump tweeted in response to a GOP tweet highlighting that Pelosi was scheduled to appear.

Fox News Sunday airs on the broadcast Fox network and is replayed later in the day on Fox News.

This isn’t the first time Trump has criticized Wallace, calling him “even worse than Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Meet the Press” in an April 12 tweet.

Though Trump has a record of being more favorable toward Fox than cable news competitors, in recent weeks, he’s also taken shots at some of Wallace’s colleagues, including Fox News chief White House correspondent John Roberts and Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto.
