A woman aboard an EasyJet flight in the United Kingdom began coughing on passengers after she was told she would be removed from a flight for refusing to wear a face covering.
In footage circulating the internet on Monday, the woman becomes agitated as a flight attendant moves to remove her from the hourlong flight between Belfast, Northern Ireland, to Edinburgh, Scotland, on Sunday.
“Everybody dies, you know that?!” the woman yelled at the flight attendant. “Every f—ing body dies. If it’s from corona or not, everybody dies.”
A passenger who recorded the exchange said that staff of the jetliner were “really good” at handling the situation, which escalated after the woman asked for a “row of seats to herself” before refusing to wear a mask.
A representative from EasyJet said the airport police were called to assist with a “disruptive passenger” who was “subsequently arrested and is currently under investigation.”
