WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. envoy to the United Nations says Syrian President Bashar Assad “has barely put a dent in his enormous stockpile” of chemical weapons that American officials believe killed more than 1,400 people outside Damascus last month.

Ambassador Samantha Power says the world has done very little to curb Assad’s willingness to use the deadly nerve agents again.
