WHAT IT MEANS: Delta gets to accelerate a shift toward bigger jets and away from 50-seat regional jets. Delta pilots get raises.
BY THE NUMBERS: 50-seat regional jets flown by Delta Air Lines Inc. partners will be capped at 125 planes, down from 343 being flown now. Delta gets to add 70 additional large regional jets and to finalize its deal to lease Boeing 717s. Pilots get raises of almost 13 percent at the beginning of next year, followed by 3 percent raises at the beginning of 2014 and 2015.
