A staffer for Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg apologized to Rep. Matt Gaetz on Monday after posting on social media that she was hoping for someone to throw “urine” at him.
Gaetz posted a screenshot of Samantha Lillian Elaine Pollara saying, “Please, please let it be urine next time …,” an apparent reference to the fact that a woman hit him with a milkshake while he was leaving a town hall last month. He announced last week that he intends to press charges against the perpetrator, his former political opponent in the 2016 congressional election, Democrat Amanda Kondrat’yev.
“Hey @PeteButtigieg – this is a reply from a member of your campaign inciting (rather gross) violence against me after someone previously threw a drink on me,” Gaetz tweeted Sunday. “Is this what your campaign stands for?”
Samantha gave me a very nice call and apology. That is how reasonable people behave and it’s certainly good enough for me.

He then followed it up on Monday with a tweet that reads, “Samantha gave me a very nice call and apology. That is how reasonable people behave and it’s certainly good enough for me.”
