Three men were injured, one critically, in a head-on collision in Anne Arundel County early Saturday.
Anne Arundel County police said a Chevrolet Traverse collided with a Honda Civic shortly after 1 a.m. near Bay Front Road East and Solomon’s Island Road.
Police said 37-year-old Adam Harman, of West River, Md., was driving the Civic east on Bay Front Road and 63-year-old Marc Blumenfield, of Laurel, was driving the Traverse westbound. For unknown reasons, Harman drifted into the westbound lane, approaching Blumenfield head-on.
Blumenfield swerved to the eastbound lane to avoid a collision, but Harman also moved back to the eastbound lane and the vehicles crashed head-on, police said.
Harman was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Blumenfield and his passenger, 73-year-old Bill Garrup, of D.C., suffered minor injuries.
Alcohol, but not speed, is believed to have been a factor in the crash, police said. Authorities are still investigating.
