An Italian farmer has carved out his place in history, staking claim to the largest pumpkin on record.
A pumpkin weighing in at approximately 2,702 pounds broke the Guinness World Record to become the heaviest on record, the reference book company announced Thursday. Stefano Cutrupi, an Italian farmer, submitted the pumpkin to the Campionato della Zuccone pumpkin festival in Peccioli, near Pisa, on Sept. 26, according to Guinness.
