Batman filming halted after Robert Pattinson tests positive for coronavirus: Report

The star of a leading superhero franchise reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus.

British actor Robert Pattinson, who is the leading man in the Warner Bros. new Batman film, forced production to halt after he was diagnosed with the highly infectious disease, according to Vanity Fair.

The company released a statement on Wednesday, saying, “A member of the Batman production has tested positive for COVID-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.”

Pattinson, who also stars in this year’s blockbuster hit Tenet, has been confirmed as the mysterious person who had contracted the disease and forced the United Kingdom-based film to shutter production temporarily.

The film was almost two months into production after being shut down for half of the year because of the coronavirus.
