Vendors outside Orchard Park’s New Era Field were reportedly selling at least new two lines of short-sleeved shirts. One displayed the words “Shut up and stand up,” followed by a foul play on Kaepernick’s name. A second said, “Wanted: Notorious disgrace to America,” and displayed a picture of Kaepernick in the crosshairs of a scope.
Kaepernick, a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, first made headlines in September for refusing to stand during the national anthem, which he said he was doing to protest police brutality. His team was in New York on Sunday playing against the Buffalo Bills.
