In what is likely his most high-profile appearance since he left office nine months ago, former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty will host a fund-raiser Thursday for political ally and Ward 2 Councilman Jack Evans. Fenty has laid low since Mayor Vincent Gray’s administration began, but this public appearance, to be held at the downtown law firm where Fenty works, Klores Perry Mitchell, will undoubtedly kick up talk he’s considering another run for mayor.
And leave the cushy private sector? We’ll see.
Meanwhile, Evans doesn’t technically have an opponent yet for his re-election, but new D.C. resident Fiona Greig is expected to file. Greig is a consultant for nonprofits and government agencies and moved to the District in 2007. She grew up in New York and Asia, according to her Facebook page.
