Donald Trump “wouldn’t want to watch the news every night” in a Hillary Clinton administration, he said at a rally in North Carolina on Monday, citing fallout from the investigation into her private server and alleged mishandling of classified emails.
“She shouldn’t be allowed to run,” Trump told a crowd in Raleigh on Monday afternoon. “She still deleted them after getting a subpoena from Congress. I mean, that’s a crime. What happened? That’s a crime. You don’t even need the new stuff.”
Trump reiterated promises to engage in the “biggest tax cuts since Ronald Reagan” and “save and protect” Social Security and Medicare if he wins, and took a moment to recognize the 98th birthday of famed preacher Billy Graham, a North Carolina icon who Trump said “loves this state.”
“Billy Graham, what a great one, right? He’s 98 years old. He’s a fantastic man, and Franklin’s a fantastic man,” Trump said, referencing Graham’s son before pivoting to politics. “We’re going to protect religious liberty, rebuild our liberty, and take care of our great veterans.”
Trump took a moment to trumpet his success in the media and implored his audience to vote, saying the movement will amount to a “waste of time” in the absence of victory. “The NFL ratings are way down. You know why? Because everyone’s watching this.”

“We’re beating everybody,” he added. “Nobody’s seen anything like what we’re doing. So we don’t want to blow it. We don’t want it waste it. … Because believe me, if we don’t win, all of us, honestly, we’ve all wasted our time. I’ll be honest.
“They may say good things about us as a movement. It mean a damn thing. … We’ve got to go out, we’ve got to go out, and we need to win,” Trump said.
The rally was Trump’s second of the day. He appeared earlier at an event in the battleground state of Florida, and was scheduled to appear later in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.
“You have one magnificent chance to beat the corrupt system that you’re witnessing today and to deliver justice for every forgotten man, and woman, and child in this nation,” Trump added. “Do not let this opportunity slip away. We’re fighting for every citizen who believes that government should serve the people.”
