Shoshone National Forest to release plan

CODY, Wyo. (AP) — The Shoshone National Forest plans to release its draft forest plan and draft environmental impact statement on Monday.

The U.S. Forest Service has been working on the plan and draft EIS for eight years and has held over 75 public meetings during the planning process.

The draft documents will be available on the Shoshone National Forest website by 8 a.m. Monday. They will also be available at local libraries and district ranger offices.

A 90-day public comment period will begin on Aug. 4.
