Donald Trump issued a strident criticism of Hillary Clinton’s immigration policies Saturday, saying that she seeks to abolish U.S. borders.

Clinton is “the first person to ever run for the presidency of a country effectively proposing to abolish the borders around the country that she’s supposed to be representing,” Trump said at an event in Houston.

The Republican candidate was addressing the Remembrance Project, a support group for families of victims of crime committed by illegal immigrants.

Trump told the group that his Democratic rival plans a “total amnesty” in her first 100 days if she is elected, paving the way for illegal immigrants to receive government benefits, such as Social Security and Medicare. He said that Clinton would ignore visa overstays, encourage “sanctuary cities,” close detention centers, and loosen enforcement of immigration laws.

Addressing the audience at the event, he said that “your cause and your stories are ignored by our political establishment because they are determined to keep our border open at any cost. To them, your presence is just too inconvenient… But help is coming.”

Clinton’s platform calls for pursuing comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants in her first 100 days in office, prioritizing potentially violent migrants for deportation, and shutting down detention centers. She has said that she would go further than President Obama in seeking to protect immigrants from deportation through executive action.
