The Newseum announced it will offer free admission on Sept. 10 and 11 for the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. On Sept. 2, the museum is opening its first permanent exhibit about the attacks. The gallery features a 31-foot section of the broadcast antenna that stood atop the World Trade Center’s North Tower, a limestone cornice piece from the damaged section of the Pentagon and a twisted piece of fuselage recovered from the field near Shanksville, Pa., where United Flight 93 went down. As an interactive part of the exhibit, visitors will have an opportunity to share their personal Sept. 11 experiences. – Liz Farmer
