Former Iranian president tweets N-word to denounce US for George Floyd death

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad used strong language to describe the national unrest sparked by George Floyd’s death earlier this week.

“The scheme of the world powers is to cause disunity in order to keep all societies under control,” Ahmadinejad tweeted on Friday. “The killing of #GeorgeFloyd was deeply disturbing & upsetting & is the result of the current world order which we all must unite against. ‘Pull the trigger kill a N—- he’s a hero.'”

A video of Floyd’s death went viral this week, showing a white city police officer, identified as Derek Chauvin, with his knee on Floyd’s neck until he lost consciousness and later died. Floyd can be heard telling the officer he can’t breathe from the pressure.

The incident sparked outrage across the country, with protests spiraling across several major cities demanding justice for Floyd. Minneapolis was at the epicenter of the outcry, with some protesters looting, destroying, and setting fire to several local businesses and properties.

On Thursday, protesters set aflame the 3rd Police Precinct station where Chauvin and three other officers involved in the detainment of Floyd worked.

The four officers involved in the incident, which came after a report of forgery, were fired on Tuesday. On Friday, Chauvin was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter with more charges expected to come. The three others have not yet been charged.
