Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) was hospitalized after falling from a ladder while cutting tree branches at his Sarasota, Florida, property.
The 44-year-old congressman fell 25 feet to the ground, a statement from his Twitter account said. He was found by a Republican staffer in the neighborhood doing part-time delivery work.

“Congressman Steube was involved in an accident on his property late this afternoon and has sustained several injuries. We will provide additional updates when possible. Please pray for the Congressman and his family,” a statement on his Twitter account read.

“Thank you to all who continue to pray for Congressman Steube. The Congressman was knocked approximately 25 feet down off a ladder while cutting tree limbs on his Sarasota property yesterday afternoon,” the congressman’s account tweeted on Thursday.

He added on Thursday that he spent the night in the intensive care unit but has made progress and is expected to make a full recovery.
Republican lawmakers, including fellow Floridian Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), flocked to wish him a speedy recovery.
