WATCH: Iranian leader releases animation of drone strike killing Trump

Iranian leadership published an animated video of a drone strike killing former President Donald Trump.

The video, published on the website of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Wednesday, illustrates the sort of revenge against Trump that Iranian officials want. Trump had previously ordered the killing of top Iranian official Qasem Soleimani in January 2020 via a drone strike.

The video, titled “Revenge is inevitable,” begins with a shot of what appears to be a golf course where Trump and an assortment of unnamed individuals are playing. The former president is wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and appears to have former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo with him.

The video pans to a drone rolling onto the course, driven by a drone operator reportedly in Iran. The operator is surrounded by images of Soleimani, each showing him in casual garb.

The footage then cuts to an aerial drone flying above Florida as it approaches Mar-a-Lago. At the same time, the small drone vehicle approaches the former president through the long grass before marking him with a laser, making the former president a clear target for the aerial drone.

The operator later hacks Trump’s phone, sending the former president a text message: “Soleimani’s murderer and the one who gave the order will pay the price.” The video ends as the drone flies directly over him, followed by a cut to black with the message in English and Farsi: “Revenge is Definite.”

The clip was released “on the eve of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of General Haj Qasem Soleimani and the accompanying martyrs based on the statements of Ayatollah Khamenei about Martyr Soleimani,” a statement on Khamenei’s website reads.

The film was created as part of a contest to mark the anniversary of Soleimani’s death, reported The Times of Israel.

These are not the first remarks made criticizing Trump for ordering the killing of Soleimani. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said during a televised address that Trump and Pompeo must be prosecuted for killing Soleimani, describing the former president as an “aggressor” and “murderer.”

The Pentagon defended the decision to kill Iran’s top general, saying that Trump ordered the attack as Soleimani was “actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.”

The White House expressed concerns on Monday about Iran potentially plotting the assassination of former Trump administration officials.
