Report: Trump weighing Laura Ingraham, Richard Grenell for administration posts

President-elect Trump is reportedly weighing two conservative media figures for high-level positions in his administration, the latest evidence that Trump plans to reward those who have defended him since the beginning of his long-shot campaign.

Laura Ingraham, conservative radio host, Fox News contributor and LifeZette editor in chief, is a leading contender to become press secretary, CNN reported Monday. Richard Grenell, a national security commentator for Fox News and spokesman for the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush, is under consideration to be U.S. ambassador to the U.N., the Associated Press reported Monday.

Both served as vocal supporters of Trump throughout the presidential race. Ingraham even aided Trump with debate preparations and provided occasional political counsel.

On Sunday, Trump named Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, as his White House chief of staff and Steve Bannon, former CEO of the Trump campaign, as his chief strategist. Both stood by Trump during the rockiest moments of his presidential bid.

Kellyanne Conway, a member of Trump’s transition team, told reporters Monday that Trump considered loyalty a “very important” factor in deciding who would fill his White House staff and key cabinet positions.
