Sotomayor: Affirmative action options don’t work

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected on Sunday the notion that alternatives to affirmative action such as income or residency could achieve similar results in diversifying the nation’s colleges and universities.
